About:

…Yet we urge you, brothers and sisters, to do so more and more, and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.

1 Thessalonians 4:10-12

The disciples ambition stems from questions like: How should a believer live? What should a believer be striving for? How does a believer live in the present day?

1 Thessalonians 4:10-12 shows that the believers ambition in life should be to live quietly and to set an example for those around them. The disciple of Christ works to win outsider’s respect, and strives to be their best.

As Christians in a fallen world our question must constantly be asking: What is my ambition in life? How does Christ want me to live? How can I be better?

This blog is written specifically for those who want to be more. For those who long for true faith. For those who want to stand out and set an example. The term disciple implies that you are following someone. Jesus didn’t just call us to sit in a church pew, he tells us to pick up our cross and follow Him. (Mathew 10:38-39)

Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life. To set an example. Make it your ambition to win the respect of outsiders. Make it your ambition to live like Jesus did.

I’m Malachi

I am a disciple of Christ with a deep desire to see the Western church become more like the New Testament church in the way it loves and lives it’s life. This blog is specifically driven for the disciples of Christ who have a similar vision and who desire to live like the early church did. My ambition is to live for Christ and to help lead others to do the same.
